Scientists uncover why hundreds of octopuses huddle in a deep-sea crevice – video

A research of the largest identified congregation of breeding octopuses, about 20,000, has made discoveries as to why so most of the species collect there. A volcanic vent within the ocean mattress off California gives heat water and vitamins to the brooding octopuses, and scientists from MBARI have discovered this helps shorten the time it takes for his or her eggs to hatch, growing their possibilities of survival
